Poem: Weight
Dominique Larntz * June 1, 2012
Weight
I have borne weight
like a snow flake
in an avalanche.
Somersaults of
stress over ever-increasing
momentum of reaching
the wrong goals for me
and my type of life
sure take a while
to slow down.
Instead I would like
to make my next choices
like a seed in the soil.
Reaching down and up
at the same time.
Somewhat planted;
somewhat rooted.
This is a slower life,
and it requires a lot
more support.
